Randy I Anderson, Ph.D.

Randy I. Anderson is an accomplished real estate executive, investor, educator, and researcher with decades of experience spanning institutional investment management, portfolio construction, and real estate finance.

He was co-founder and CEO of Griffin Capital Asset Management Company, where he launched and managed the Griffin Institutional Access Real Estate Fund and the Griffin Institutional Access Credit Fund, innovative investment platforms that expanded access to institutional-quality real estate strategies. The funds later became part of Apollo Global Management, where Anderson served as a Partner in Real Assets. He also served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Real Estate Interval Fund and co-CEO and board member of Apollo's non-traded REIT platform.

Prior to Griffin and Apollo, Anderson held senior leadership positions across the real estate investment industry, including roles at Bluerock Real Estate, Prudential, Marcus & Millichap, and CNL Financial Group. Throughout his career, his work has focused on investment strategy, real estate securities, portfolio management, and building innovative real estate investment solutions.

In addition to his industry experience, Anderson has played a significant role in shaping real estate education nationwide. He has held leadership and faculty positions at institutions including the University of South Florida, Florida International University, the University of Central Florida, and Baruch College, where he helped establish and lead nationally recognized real estate programs. He has taught courses in real estate finance and investments and remains an internationally recognized scholar in REITs, private and public real estate solutions, and portfolio construction.

Anderson is a former Executive Director of the American Real Estate Society, recipient of the Kinnard Young Scholar Award, and former co-editor of both the Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management and the Journal of Real Estate Literature. He has published extensively in leading academic and practitioner journals and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, as well as a contributor to media outlets including CNBC and Fox Business News.

He earned his PhD in Finance as a Presidential Fellow from the University of Alabama and holds a bachelor's degree in finance from North Central College.
